High winds and copious rain once again caused power outages and falling trees and branches across the state on Saturday. Rainfall totals were as high as 3.12 inches in Stafford Springs, 2.93 inches in Bloomfield, 2.92 inches in East Granby and 2.91 inches in West Hartford. The wind gusted to 47 mph at Lighthouse Point, 46 mph in Groton, 45 mph in Bridgeport and 40 mph at Bradley Airport. High pressure will bring tranquil conditions on Sunday, but another round of stormy weather will affect Connecticut from Monday into Wednesday morning.
