While Saturday’s nor’easter was impressive in the amount of rain that fell across the state; up to 1.56 inches in Fairfield and 1.50 inches in Hartford; as well as the wind gusts that topped off at 51 mph in New London and 47 mph in Greenwich; it was the coastal tidal flooding that was the most impressive. Moderate flooding occurred in the early afternoon from Greenwich to New Haven with tide levels not seen in several years. That storm will move through northern New England on Sunday. Another storm system will be affecting Connecticut Monday morning with showers.
