The time has come for Connecticut to feel the effects from the remnants of Hurricane Florence. Showers and embedded thunderstorms are likely throughout the day Tuesday with some locally heavy downpours. Rainfall totals will generally be 1 to 2 inches, but a few 3 or 4 inch totals are possible in the heaviest downpours. Winds are no longer a concern with this storm, so power outages will be nothing more than what occurs during a heavy rain storm. The rain ends this evening, then high pressure builds on Wednesday with a mixture of clouds, some sun and much lower humidity.
