A weak storm over the eastern Great Lakes Thursday morning will cause rain and snow showers in portions of New York and Pennsylvania, but some of the moisture should dry up before reaching Connecticut. Still, scattered snow showers and flurries are possible this afternoon, especially in the western portion of the state. A storm system currently in the southern plains will cause thickening clouds here by Friday, then periods of rain are expected to develop Friday night and continue into Saturday afternoon. Another storm may cause more rain on Sunday, but that is less certain.
