Puffins, Iceland

"This photo was taken on the top of a towering cliff at the tip of the westernmost peninsula in Iceland, which makes it the westernmost point in all of Europe (Iceland is part of Europe). This cliff area is called Latrabjarg and is renowned for its cliff-nesting birds. The image was taken about 10:45 p.m., within a day or two of the longest day of the year. It was the best puffin spot on the island we found in late June 2011." — Rick Kelly
