Catching Up With Former UConn Baseball Player John Andreoli, Now In The Major Leagues

John Andreoli might have played football like his father, who played at Holy Cross and was with the Patriots in the 1980s and has had a long career as a high school coach in Massachusetts.

The younger Andreoli had Ivy League and other football offers out of St. John’s High in Shrewsbury, Mass., but he chose to focus on baseball at UConn, where he hit .340 in 159 games, helped the Huskies reach two NCAA Tournaments and played on a team with five other future major leaguers.
