General Electric Co. will not be moving its headquarters to Atlanta, according to Georgia's largest newspaper.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that GE on Saturday informed top Georgia representatives that the state is officially out of the running.
Capitol Watch reported last week that GE would not move to Atlanta, citing a report in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Atlanta's mayor, Kasim Reed, had been outspoken in favor of GE moving to the South, but his office did not return messages recently seeking comment from The Courant.
