Former Sen. Eric Coleman Barely Approved by House As Judge

Former Sen. Eric Coleman of Bloomfield was hailed as a hero when his former Senate colleagues voted to approve his nomination as a Superior Court judge.

But it was a much different story Thursday when Coleman’s nomination barely survived in the state House of Representatives. Coleman was approved by 74-72, meaning that a switch of only one vote would have led to a 73-73 tie.
