'Downton Abbey' gives fans a feel-good finale

In the final hour of "Downton Abbey," Lady Rosamond (Samantha Bond) gives voice to five years' worth of worry "We didn't always think we'd get a happy ending for Edith," she says to her mother (Maggie Smith) as they await the wedding of the show's perpetually beleaguered duckling, now turned titled swan.

"Well," replies the dowager countess, with her signature skepticism, "there's a lot at risk. With any luck, they'll be happy enough. That's," she adds with the barest hint of a chuckle, "the English version of a happy ending."
