With 'Inevitability,' Rocky Hill 5th Grader Wins Connecticut Spelling Bee

Aritra Banerjee, a 5th grader at Rocky Hill’s West Hill School, won the Connecticut Spelling Bee on Saturday to advance to Scripps National in May.

Aritra, 11, spelled “inevitability” in Round 19 to become the state champion, beating the 34 other students in grades 4 through 8 who competed in the bee, presented by the Hartford Courant and the Noah Webster House and West Hartford Historical Society.
