Peter Brook premiered his latest work, “The Prisoner,” a 75-minute five-actor meditation on crime, justice, self-imposed punishment and redemption. The title character has planted himself in front of a prison for days on end, causing confusion and consternation.
“The Prisoner,” which Brook co-wrote with longtime collaborator Marie-Hélène Estienne, is now on a world tour. The U.S. premiere is Nov. 2 to 17 at Yale Repertory Theatre, 1120 Chapel St., New Haven. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 8 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Nov. 10, 14 and 17. 203-432-1234, yalerep.org.
