The Connecticut International Auto Show: 150,000 Square Feet of Cars, Exhibits & Fun! On the Road Weekly Publication

The Connecticut International Auto Show is gearing up for another great event Nov. 11-13 at the Connecticut Convention Center. The newest 2012 models will be on display, including the latest fuel- efficient vehicles and cars and trucks with the latest technologies.

Coming to the show is the best way to compare vehicles all in one location, saving time and money. There are cars to suit every budget and lifestyle, from family-friendly to sporty and sleek. There is also entertainment and fun for the whole family!

Fuel-efficient electric and hybrid cars will once again be highlighted. After its Connecticut debut at last year’s show, the Chevy Volt will again be on display, as well as the Nissan LEAF. Also on display will be the Toyota Prius, Toyota Camry Hybrid and the Lincoln MKZ hybrid. New car shoppers searching for an eco-friendly vehicle will certainly have many options to explore.

Variety is everything at the Connecticut Auto Show. If electrics and hybrids aren't your style, then check out muscle cars like the Mustang Boss Laguna or a restyled exotic from Lamborghini. In addition to the new 2012 models attendees can view vintage cars from the 1900s to 1930s, courtesy of the Klingberg Foundation.

While cars are the stars at the Auto Show, there’s also lots of entertainment. Learn more about the weather Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. with Sean Casey of the Discovery Channel’s Storm Chasers. And take a look at the Tornado Intercept Vehicle Sean will have with him.

The Connecticut Automotive Retailers Association will also be making a contribution to the Massachusetts Red Cross to benefit victims of the tornado that hit the Springfield area in June, and to the Connecticut Red Cross to benefit victims of Hurricane Irene.

All weekend, Comic Bot, an eight-foot-tall robot, will perform just like he did on America's Got Talent. With the holiday season just around the corner, there will be shopping opportunities from auto accessories retailers.

Attendees will have the chance to win one of many prizes. Correctly guess the make, model and year of a crushed car and win a flat-screen TV. Trying to decipher what the giant heap of metal had been is fun in itself! You could also win a vacation getaway to one of 30 cities of your choice, and one lucky person will win gas for life!
