Connecticut Taking Applications For Poet Laureate

The Connecticut Office of the Arts is accepting submissions for the position of Connecticut poet laureate. The deadline is July 6. The state’s most recent poet laureate was Rennie McQuilkin.

The poet laureate serves as an advocate for poetry, promotes poetry education and participation statewide and presents

at least three public events each year. The term will last from Aug. 1 to July 31, 2021, and the recipient will receive an annual stipend of $2,500.
