Teen Shot By New Britain Police Has Charges Added

A teen injured in a police-related shooting in which a local rapper was killed had two charges added to his criminal case Thursday.

Noah Young, 18, appeared in Superior Court in New Britain. Prosecutor Michael Gailor said the new charges are having a weapon in a motor vehicle and possession of a pistol without a permit. Young, who suffered graze wounds, is being held in lieu of $1 million bail for drug charges linked to the shooting.

Local rapper Zoe "Gangstalicious" Dowdell, 20, of Bloomfield, was killed in the Oct. 21 shooting.

Five New Britain police officers fired at the vehicle suspected of being involved in a series of violent carjackings and robberies, killing Dowdell and wounding two teen passengers. A state police investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
