Coworker Climbs Through Woman's Bedroom Window In Stratford, Stabs Boyfriend, Police Said

A Bridgeport man was arrested after he climbed in to the bedroom window of a coworker and stabbed her boyfriend, police said.

Juan Santiago, 22, was charged with home invasion, first-degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct. He was in custody on $500,000 bail, police said.

The boyfriend was being treated at Bridgeport Hospital with stab wounds to his torso and hand, they said. He is expected to survive.

According to police, the home invasion happened Monday on Hollister Street in Stratford. Santiago arrived at the house — uninvited and unannounced — for unknown reasons.

Armed with a knife, he eventually climbed through the window of a bedroom, where the female coworker and homeowner confronted him, police said. Santiago cut and stabbed the boyfriend and hit the woman before pedaling away on a bicycle.

Officers found him on Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport. The knife police said was used in the assault was found, discarded, on the side of Hollister Street.
