Boy, 2, Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Middletown, Police Say

Police are looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run collision that injured a 2-year-old in Middletown Thursday morning.

The child, a boy, survived and was listed in stable condition Thursday afternoon at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford.

Police found the driver, who they said is now cooperating.

The collision happened at around 8:30 a.m., police said. Surveillance video captured a blue, 4-door Infiniti approach the toddler, strike him and briefly stop, police said. The driver then drove away.

Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call Officer Peter Botsacos at the department’s Traffic Unit, 860 638-4061.
