Police say a robber who stole a man’s car at knife-point Tuesday was caught in Hartford.
James Mote, 48, was arrested on charges of carjacking, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree larceny and breach of peace.
Mote, of 12 Vine St., Hartford, approached the victim at 350 Roberts St at about 7:30 p.m., displayed a large knife and demanded the man’s car keys, police spokesman Lt. Joshua Litwin said.
Mote drove off, but Hartford police located him on Mather Street with the stolen vehicle and detained him, Litwin said. The victim then identified Mote as the robber, Litwin said.
