Meghan Trainor Tour Shut Down; Zeppelin Tribute Band Among Recently Announced Concerts

Meghan Trainor‘s rescheduled Sept. 7 concert at Mohegan Sun, along with the remainder of the MTrain tour, is now officially canceled due to a re-hemorrhaged vocal cord. Trainor told her fans she will have surgery to fix the problem and plans to return stronger than ever.

The American Led Zeppelin tribute — Get The Led Out — brings the studio recordings of Zeppelin to life in concert at The Dome at Oakdale in Wallingford at 8 p.m. on Nov. 13. Less than a month later, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m., country artist Dustin Lynch and special guest Chris Lane come to Toyota Oakdale. Tickets for both performances are $25 and go on sale Friday, Aug. 14, through oakdale.com.

Shinedown and Breaking Benjamin head cross-country together starting Oct. 16. Tickets ($39.50) for the rock bands’ performance at Mohegan Sun Arena on Nov. 19 go on sale Friday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

The Best of Boston Comedy Festival ($25-$35) — Dan Boulger, Dan Crohn, Max Dolcelli and Mike Whitman — heads to Hartford’s Infinity Hall at 8 p.m. on Sept. 12. Classic rock hits of the ’60s group Traffic arrive at Infinity’s stage with Dave Mason’s Traffic Jam ($60-$80) on Oct. 10 at 8 p.m, followed by Don McLean ($64-94), singer of the song everybody knows — “American Pie” — at 8 p.m. on Oct. 24. A night of R&B comes to Hartford’s Infinity with the performances of Grammy-winning Macy Gray and special guest Valise ($54-$74) at 8 p.m. on Nov. 21. At Infinity in Norfolk, Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds ($29-$44) take the stage at 8 p.m. on Dec. 4 with their new soul release “The Weather Below.” Tickets for all these performances go on sale Thursday, Aug. 13, through infinityhall.com or by calling 866-666-6306.

Electronic musician Dan Deacon comes to the College Street Music Hall on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. with On and On, Eliot Sumner and Dosh as guest performers. Also taking the College Street stage in September are Greensky Bluegrass and Tom Hamilton’s American Babies (Sept. 16 at 7 p.m., $17-$20) as well as Ride ($23-$26) at 9 p.m. on Sept. 18. A series of rock bands perform this fall at Hartford’s Webster Theater, including Pop Evil ($10-$12) at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 and Burn Halo ($13-$15) with special guests Heartist, Courage My Love, XXI, Tonsil Hockey, Rise & Resist and At Your Forefront at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 29. With a quite different indie style, Good Old War ($15-$18) arrives at Webster Theater on Sept. 12 along with Pete Hill for an 8 p.m. performance.

Waterbury’s Palace Theater kicks off its Fall Jazz Series on Sept. 11 with two performances by Grammy-winning saxophonist Lauren Sevian ($23). The series continues on Oct. 2 with another two-performance night by jazz pianist Matt DeChamplain ($23). On Oct. 23, Jay Geils Jazz & Blues Revue ($37) performs, followed by the James Montgomery band ($37) on Nov. 13. The series wraps up on Dec. 4 with a wine tasting led by NPR host Fred Tregaskis and performances by a jazz trio led by his wife, Louise Baranger ($35).
