Real Art Ways, 56 Arbor St. in Hartford, will show two screening of a movie that made a splash at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
“Unexpected” is a comic drama starring Cobie Smulders about an inner-city teacher who discovers she is pregnant around the same time one of her star students also discovers she is pregnant. It also stars Elizabeth McGovern from “Downton Abbey.”
It will be shown Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15 and 16, at 12:45 p.m. The movie is 90 minutes and is rated R.
Real Art Ways also will have a one-time-only, pre-release screening of “Digging for Fire,” a comic drama about a husband and wife who find a bone and a gun, and go on voyages of discovery. It will be shown Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 7:30 p.m. It is one of the films in the “New York Film Critics Series,” and will be accompanied by a a live broadcast Q&A with director Joe Swanberg and star Jake Johnson, moderated by Rolling Stone film critic Peter Travers.
