‘Rush: Time Stand Still,’ Bolshoi Ballet, ‘Sexy Liberal Comedy’ At Area Theaters

Fathom Events, which presents alternative programming at cinemas nationwide, has an eclectic lineup this week.

“Rush: Time Stand Still,” a 40-year overview of the legendary rock band, will be shown Thursday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m. Along with the film, a short documentary, “Rush: A Salute to Kings” will be shown, featuring interviews with Gene Simmons (KISS), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart) and Scott Gorham (Thin Lizzy) talking about Rush.

A special 20th anniversary screening of the vampire thriller “From Dusk Till Dawn,” featuring a Q&A with the film’s creators, Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, will be shown Sunday, Nov. 6, at 6 and 9 p.m., and Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 2 and 7 p.m.

A recorded presentation of Bolshoi Ballet’s production of Shostakovich’s “The Bright Stream” will be shown Sunday, Nov. 6, at 12:55 p.m.

The “Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour,” a filmed presentation of stage show featuring Stephanie Miller, John Fugelsang, Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton, will be screened Monday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m. To see the venues and buy tickets, visit fathomevents.com.
