Nobel economics laureate Amartya Sen, who has been hailed as the "Mother Theresa of economics," has around 100 honorary degrees, but he doesn't keep track! The Indian-born economist told Johannesburg's Sunday Times, "I make a point of not counting: it's what my research assistant tells me. I'm in mortal danger of getting to a hundred". His honorary degrees include Doctorate of Laws from York University in 2004, Doctorate of Social Sciences Stockholm University in 1996 and Yale in 2003, and Doctor of Literature from University of Saskatchewan in 1979.
