Leo Bushey, whose past experience in Connecticut includes executive chef positions at Acqua Oyster Bar, Hartford Club, Country Club of Farmington and The Willows at the Doubletree Bristol, has been named the executive chef at Madison Beach Hotel.
In this role, Chef Bushey will assume responsibility for culinary leadership of the Madison Beach Hotel, including direction of restaurant, bars, social events and pastry efforts, according to a news release.
To introduce Bushey to Madison, the hotel hosts a special "Meet the Chef" dinner April 30 at 6:30 p.m. to preview upcoming items from the spring menu. Dinner features an assortment of hors d’ouevres, appetizers of fried cold water oysters and seared diver scallops, courses of grilled mahi mahi and pan-roasted lamb chops, and a cherry Newton with almond Devonshire cream for dessert.
