Pig out at b Restaurant in Milford (Plan B Burger Bar) during its 5th annual Bacon Week, featuring a full menu of bacon-centric dishes, desserts and even cocktails from Oct. 17 to 23.
Starters include country-fried bacon strips with smoked sea salt and chipotle-ranch dipping sauce ($7.99) and jalapeño bacon macaroni and cheese balls ($6.99.) A "swine salad" ($12.99) features apple bacon vinaigrette, bacon pretzel croutons and pork belly, and special burgers ($14.99 to $15.99) include peanut butter bacon jam and the "Kona," with a ground bacon and beef patty, grilled pineapple, pork belly and pineapple bacon aioli. The signature Mac n'Jack macaroni and cheese dish ($14.99) gets a "BLT" upgrade with bacon, wilted spinach and tomatoes.
Sweet-and-savory desserts ($7.99) include a bacon chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich (with bacon brittle ice cream from Grass Roots Creamery) and a Fat Elvis, a tempura-fried peanut butter, bacon and fluff sandwich on banana bread.
Bacon finds its way to the bar as well, with a Bacon AllUpInYo' jalapeño margarita (using bacon simple syrup and a bacon-dusted rim); a Pig Passion Old-Fashioned with bacon bitters and bacon whiskey, and a Wham Bam Thank you HAMhattan. Cocktails are $8 and $9.
