Metro Bis, 731 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, hosts a Pork and Pinot dinner March 5 at 6:30 p.m. Special guests include Cree LeFavour, author of "Pork: More Than 50 Meals That Celebrate: The Glory of Pig, Delicious Pig" and Edward Dunn of Brescome Barton.
Courses include clam, pork belly and garlic spaghetti; pork tenderloin with salsa verde, glazed dashi miso pork chops; white bean, pork shoulder and tomato stew and candied bacon s'mores for dessert. Each course is paired with a complementary wine.
