Here's another reason to get to Hartford this weekend: Vito's By The Park has introduced a new a la carte brunch, with a slew of creative cocktails to match.
The menu features customized omelettes, brioche French toast with mixed berries, salmon cake and short rib Benedicts, pork belly hash and hanger steak with poached eggs, along with a 9-ounce burger, raw bar selections, salads and pizzas. Entrees are $12 to $19.
Among the "eye opener" cocktails: a "kitchen sink" Bloody Mary with various accoutrements, a cran-raspberry mimosa; the "Ginger and Thyme" with grapefruit vodka and ginger-thyme simple syrup; and a Blood and Sand bourbon drink. Boozy coffee and tea drinks include a Café Italiano with amaretto; an apple toddy with apple-infused Onyx Moonshine and steeped green tea; a mocha latte with chocolate liqueur and tea with apricot liqueur and Jack Daniels Honey. Cocktails are $9 to $15.
