Christmas Eve comes early to Max a Mia Dec. 8, with Feast of the Seven Fishes wine dinner

Max a Mia, 70 East Main St., Avon, hosts a Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner Dec. 8 at 6:15 p.m. The seasonal coastal-Italian menu features the wines of Palm Bay Imports with special guest Gianpero Peru. 

The menu:

Reception: Blue Point oysters, Calabrian chili cocktail sauce; wood fired stuffed Manila clams, sweet garlic butter; Georges Bank cod terrine, tomato granita (Wine: Sella & Mosca Vermentino La Cala, Sardegna)

First course: Citrus-pressed, extra virgin olive oil-marinated insalata di mare, Cape Cod mussel vinaigrette (Fontanafredda Gavi di Gavi, Piemonte)

Second course: Fritto Misto - tempura fried royal red shrimp, marinated octopus, smelts, broccolini, oyster mushrooms, bagna cauda (Feudi di San Gregtorio Aglianico Rosato Ros'Aura, Campania)

Third course: Black spaghetti, hand picked lobster, saffron-San Marzano brodetto, chive butter, lobster oil (Planeta Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Sicilia)

Fourth course: Branzino, taggiasca olives, fregola, fennel, slow roasted tomatoes in Cartoccio, sauce choron (Castello di Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Mazzei, Toscana)
