Nat Hayden's in Windsor offers a holiday dinner to go, which feeds 6 people. The package includes hickory-smoked Virginia ham with apple-onion chutney; a half pan of macaroni and cheese; winter salad with mizuna, sweet kale and dried cranberries and cornbread. Cost is $69.95. All of Max Restaurant Group's restaurants are open for lunch on Dec. 24, with "festive" menus at Max Downtown in Hartford (open from 4 to 9:30 p.m.) Max Fish in Glastonbury (open 4 to 9 p.m.) and Max's Tavern in Springfield (open 4 to 9 p.m.)

Saybrook Point Inn's Fresh Salt restaurant offers Christmas Eve dinner from 5 to 8:30 p.m., with main courses like Feast of the Seven Fishes cioppino, fluke "thermidor," Colorado lamb rack and prime beef duo.
On Christmas Day, a buffet dinner features chilled seafood, lobster corn chowder, holiday antipasto with New England cheeses, salads, a carving station with roast prime rib and rosemary crusted leg of lamb and entrees like paupiette of sole, Atlantic halibut brandade, roast stuffed pork loin, eggplant roulade and potato lasagna and Grand Dessert offering. The buffet is served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $64.95 for adults, $32.95 for children 5 to 12 (children younger than 5 are complimentary.)

BALLO Italian Restaurant & Bar offers a surf and turf meal Dec. 24 through Dec. 31, with a 14-ounce New York strip steak, 6-ounce lobster tail and brussels sprouts with pancetta and honey for $58.
Hash House A Go Go offers Christmas dinner on Dec. 25 with prime rib, shrimp pasta, soup du jour and wedge salad, with drink specials and pumpkin bread pudding for dessert.
Seasons Buffet features New England rock sole, apple-brined pork chops with winter-spiced chutney, ginger scallion fish, brussels sprouts au gratin and a raw bar.
Todd English's Tuscany hosts a chef's tasting Dec. 25 from 5 to 10 p.m., with courses of porcini onion soup, braised rabbit ravioli, cider-brined pork tenderloin and tiramisu eggnog trifle. Cost is $60 a person, or $90 with the addition of wine pairings.
