Child Passenger Safety Week

They're your most precious cargo, kids.

But here's a frightening statistic: according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, car crashes are a leading cause of death for children between the ages of 1 and 13. However, the NHTSA reports many of those fatalities can be prevented by the proper use/installation of car seats, boosters and seat belts. This is Child Passenger Safety Week. It precedes National Seat Check Saturday on September 19th. To find a fitting station near you, click on this website. Some police and fire stations offer the service, some don't. Most you need to make an appointment for, but all the information is listed right on the website so you don't have to second guess whether your children are safe in the car.
