Baby’s here! Snooki and fiance Jionni LaValle have welcomed their second child.
The petite “Jersey Shore” alum, real name Nicole Polizzi, gave birth to daughter Giovanna Marie and shared the news on Twitter on Friday.
“So happy to let you know we had our beautiful daughter this morning,” wrote the 26-year-old new mother of two. “Giovanna Marie LaValle. 6.7 lbs, full head of black hair & perfect.”
We’re going to translate that into the baby being born with Snooki’s signature hair pouf, just ’cause.
Polizzi’s bestie and “Snooki & JWoww” costar Jenni Farley took to her blog to share her well wishes and a photo of the newest meatball at the hospital.
“My best friend gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl …. Giovanna is a stunning 6.7lb perfect angel!” she wrote.
Farley’s snapshot showed Polizzi cradling her newborn in a hospital bed while Farley and fiance Roger Mathews look on. That duo welcomed their first child, daughter Meilani Alexandra, in July.
The birth was reportedly filmed for the women’s spin-off series, TMZ reported.
It’s the second child for the accessories designer and LaValle, who have been engaged since March 2012. The couple welcomed their son Lorenzo in August of that year and shared news of her unplanned pregnancy on the sixth and final season of the popular MTV reality hit “Jersey Shore.”
The former hard-partying pickle lover announced she was pregnant again back in April with a mature — albeit contentious — blog post about privacy. In May, she revealed that she was having a baby girl in a sweet video featuring Lorenzo. The couple has been living in LaValle’s parents’ basement as work on their New Jersey dream home is being completed. They plan to wed later this year.
One of Polizzi’s former housemates also took to Twitter to congratulate the family of four.
“So happy for my friends @snooki & @JLaValle can’t wait to meet their new bundle of joy,” wrote Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola.
And here’s a boilerplate “Where are they now” update for the “Jersey Shore” gang: Former housemates Giancola and on-and-off beau Ronnie Magro have finally called it quits. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his brother were indicted earlier this week on tax-fraud charges. Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio is still deejaying, and pal Vinny Guadagino is hosting comedy shows. And Snooki’s pint-sized compatriot Deena Cortese has appeared on “Snooki & JWoww” and on VH1’s “Couples Therapy.”
