There’s a new “Modern Family” in Cheviot Hills, sort of.

The Los Angeles home used as the fictional family residence of Phil and Claire Dunphy on ABC’s “Modern Family” has sold for $2.15 million.

The two-story traditional, built in 2006, sits among mature trees in the Westside neighborhood with a green lawn and a white picket fence found off the the side. Clad in crown molding and mahogany hardwood flooring, the 2,792 square feet of living space includes a living room with a fireplace, a gourmet kitchen and a family room with French doors leading onto an outdoor patio.

Of the four bedroom suites, three bedrooms reside on the second floor, including a master suite complete with a private balcony.

Only the exteriors of the house are used to depict the Dunphy residence on the show. Interiors scenes are shot on soundstages.

“Modern Family” stars Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen as Phil and Claire Dunphy, as well as Ed O’Neill, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet. The show was renewed for a sixth season in May.

The property with sitcom pedigree originally came to market in March for $2.35 million. Mitch Hagerman–not Phil Dunphy, who is a Realtor on the show–of Coldwell Banker was the listing agent. Benjamin S. Lee, also a Realtor with Coldwell Banker, represented the buyers in the sale.
