A routine promo for NBC Nightly News by NBC’s Chicago affiliate turned into a great father-son moment on Monday when Stefan Holt threw it over to a familiar face: his dad.
“NBC’s Lester Holt is here with a preview of the newscast,” Stefan said. “Hi, Dad.”
The sweet moment came when Stefan filled in for NBC affiliate WMAQ’s 5 p.m. broadcast instead of anchoring his usual morning program.
“I’ve got to check my watch, I thought this was the morning,” Lester joked. “Good to see you Stefan, proud of you.”
