Gathering at Pimlico

Jews gathered at Pimlico Race Course where breads and grains are burned as part of a 3,000 plus year old Jewish tradition of emptying the house of all leavened grains and burning them, abiding by a prohibition in the Torah of possessing or eating leavened bread during Passover. The event is sponsored by Star-K Kosher Certification, a Baltimore-based company that puts its stamp of approval on foods that adhere to Jewish dietary laws.
