Attention art lovers: The Wadsworth Atheneum, 600 Main St. in Hartford, is now offering free admission every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. (The museum closes at 5 p.m. on those days, so you’ll only have time for a quick look at a new gallery or exhibit.)
Thursday, May 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. is the Atheneum’s First Thursday celebration and the event, an outdoor block party on Burr Mall, is free for Hartford residents.(Non-residents pay $5.)
