During the golden age of the Boston stand-up scene in the 1980s, Lenny Clarke was the undisputed king of the comedy clubs, whether the stage was a Chinese restaurant or the side room of a legit theater. He went on to do cable specials, sitcoms, movies and a recurring role as Uncle Teddy on his old pal Denis Leary’s FX series “Rescue Me.”

Lenny Clarke does three shows, at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, March 26 to 28, at the Comix Comedy Club, on the Foxwoods Resort Casino grounds in Ledyard. His jokes about aging, health, family and nostalgia, while not exactly mature, have refreshed this reliable comedian who remains supremely comfortable and cocky on club stages. $20-$50. foxwoods.com
