Hartford Symphony Orchestra’s “Holiday Cirque Spectacular” has been an annual tradition since shortly after Carolyn Kuan became the symphony’s music director.
This is the sixth year that the symphony has shared the Bushnell’s Mortensen Hall stage with aerialists, contortionists and other artists from the Athens, Ga.-based Cirque de la Symphonie troupe. While the circus performers tumble and swoop, the musicians play “festive favorites.”
