Fast National ratings for Tuesday, June 16, 2009
CBS' drama repeats led the network to a ratings win on Tuesday, but none of the networks were able to make much noise in the adults 18-49 demographic.
CBS averaged a 6.2 rating/11 share and 9.2 million viewers for the night. That was well ahead of second-place NBC's 3.4/6. FOX took third with a 2.8/5. ABC, 1.6/3, came in fourth, and The CW trailed with a 0.8/1.
CBS and NBC tied for the lead among adults 18-49, albeit with a fairly meager 1.6 rating. FOX, 1.3, finished third. Neither ABC (0.7) nor The CW (0.4) managed to break the 1.0 mark.
"NCIS," 6.9/13, snagged the night's biggest audience for CBS at 8 o'clock. NBC got a 3.0/6 from "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here." A "House" repeat on FOX drew a 2.6/5, topping the 2.0/4 for an hour of "According to Jim" on ABC. A "90210" rerun on The CW brought up the rear.
A repeat of "The Mentalist," 6.7/11, kept CBS on top at 9. FOX's "Mental" and NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" tied for second in households at 3.0/5, but FOX had more total viewers. "Scrubs" and "Better Off Ted" kept ABC in front of The CW and "Hitched or Ditched," 0.9/1.
CBS completed its sweep of the night with "48 Hours Mystery," 5.1/9. A second "Law & Order: SVU" scored a 4.0/7 for NBC. The finale of "Cupid" on ABC drew a 1.5/3.
