The third season of Bravo's "Project Runway" will premiere on Wednesday, July 12 and the network has announced the designers competing for the show's big prize.
A group of 15 contestants, between the ages of 25 and 49 (somewhat older than previous groups) were unveiled on Monday (June 19) as Bravo races the latest installment to the air to capitalize on the wild popularity of the show's second-season finale. More than 3.4 million people watched Chloe Dao beat Santino Rice and Daniel Vosovic for the crown, making it the most watched telecast in Bravo's history.
The season's first episode will air at 10 p.m. on the 12th, but it will be preceded by an hour-long casting special that shows how the series came to this group of finalists:Bradley Baumkirchner, 32, Los Angeles, CA

"Watching as each of these designers grow and develop during this challenging competition is absolutely amazing," says Heidi Klum, host, judge and muse for the series. Bravo announced that this season's winner will receive a 2007 Saturn Sky Roadster. The winner's designs will be featured in a spread in Elle magazine and Macy's will award them with a mentorship with I.N.C. International Concepts. The winning designer will also walk away with $100,000 in seed money from TRESemmé to help launch his or her own line.
