'The Originals' (The CW)

Logline: Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah, and Hayley, characters already established by "The Vampire Diaries," head to New Orleans, where the French Quarter is on the cusp of a supernatural revolution thanks to a long-standing war between vampires and witches.

Why we're interested: First of all, if you're going to take all the Originals off "The Vampire Diaries" -- this had better be good. With one of our favorite writers, Michael Narducci, stepping up as the show's boss alongside Julie Plec, this show promises a more adult, emotionally driven look at the supernatural genre than we've seen before on The CW. Plus, hot people. We're always down for more hot people.
