Like "Jumanji," Chris Van Allsburg's illustrated book "Zathura" also centers on a board game that magically transforms the imaginative details of the game into reality, but this time with an intergalactic adventure.
The 2005 movie, which cost an estimated $65 million to make and took in a little under double that domestically in its first month, smartly does not try to be too rational. When two brothers are having space adventures while their snotty teenage sister babysits them, reason doesn't really matter. Frank Oz, who has given voice to so many characters over the years, turns in another fine performance as the robot.
