Oooh, so close

Carmelita Jeter of the U.S. was edged out by three-hundredths of a second for gold in the women's 100m race by Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Price, who also won the event in 2008 in Beijing. Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown took the bronze. Tianna Madison and Allyson Felix of the U.S. took fourth and fifth, respectively. The last woman to win back-to-back 100m golds was U.S. runner Gail Devers in 1992 and 1996.-- Andrea Reiher, Zap2it
