RICHMOND, VA (WTVR) - Passengers aboard an Amtrak train heading south through Richmond were delayed because of a bomb scare Thursday night. Amtrak employees approached a man who they said was acting "strange" and said he was going to "blow up" the train. The train stopped at the Staples Mill station just before 10 p.m. and the passenger, carrying a backpack, was escorted off of the train. Henrico Police took 45-year-old Paul Warfield, of the 2400 block of Massanutten Terrace, in Winchester, WV, into custody. Bomb squad personel searched the train and the man's bags, but did not find any sort of device. Warfield has been charged for disorderly conduct and making a bomb threat.
