Drag Race Ends In Explosion

<a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORGOV0000121" title="Suffolk County Police" href="/topic/crime-law-justice/police/suffolk-county-police-ORGOV0000121.topic">Suffolk County Police</a> arrested two men they say were racing down the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLTRA0000132" title="Long Island Expressway" href="/topic/travel/commuting/long-island-expressway-PLTRA0000132.topic">Long Island Expressway</a> at speeds of 145 mph some time after midnight Thursday. The race resulted in a small explosion at a Gulf gas station near exit 58 when one of the vehicles spun out of control and smashed into pumps.
