A frontal system across New York and Pennsylvania will cause mostly cloudy skies today. Showers will move into the western portions of the state this afternoon. A series of weak low-pressure systems will lift northward through the region tonight through Sunday night, generating periods of rain, heavy at times. One to two inches of rain is expected. Temperatures will be unseasonably mild through the weekend with highs in the 40s to near 50s. Sun will return Monday.
