As the mid-Atlantic region begins to feel the effects of Hurricane Florence on Thursday, with bands of heavy rain, increasing winds, and coastal flooding, here in Connecticut a stationary front to the south of the state will keep skies mostly cloudy. A few scattered showers are likely, along with the chance for a thunderstorm. Humidity levels will be high, but not oppressive, with the dew point in the mid- to upper 60s. Sunshine returns to the state on Friday and the weekend will see high temperatures around 80 to 85 degrees, with the dew point in the low to mid-60s.
