A cold front drove a line of thunderstorms across Connecticut during the mid to late afternoon on Saturday with torrential downpours, gusty winds and plenty of lightning and thunder, as a result of the front interacting with tropical humidity over southern New England. It will be much cooler and less humid on Sunday with high temperatures in the 70s and the dew point close to 60 degrees. An area of low pressure moving along a cold front to the south will keep skies mostly cloudy and there should be at least a few scattered showers.
