Saturday will easily be the pick of this weekend as high pressure will bring sunshine in the morning and increasing clouds in the afternoon. Temperatures will be pleasant with highs in the 70s and lower 80s. A storm system will be organizing along the mid-Atlantic coast today then it will lift northward toward Connecticut overnight and Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms are likely with heavy downpours. The Storm Prediction Center has parts of the state in “marginal risk” for severe storms early Sunday morning with brief gusty winds and a possible tornado.
