The first heat wave of 2018 is official with high temperatures in the 90s Friday through Sunday. The shoreline offered little relief from the heat and humidity on Sunday as the high temperature reached the upper 80s and lower 90s. While highs didn’t reach 100 at the official stations, unofficial 100 degree readings were reported in Manchester, West Hartford, Hartford and a few other towns. The Heat Index was between 105 and 110 degrees. There are more comfortable conditions in sight, but it will likely take until the weekend before it arrives. For now, its more heat and humidity.
