A cold front crossing the state early Wednesday morning will cause lingering clouds and the chance for a few scattered showers, but most locations should remain dry. As the day progresses, high pressure will bring partly to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be warmer, with highs in the 70s and 80s, even along the coastline as a westerly wind will prevent a sea breeze from developing. Sunshine and comfortable temperatures are expected Thursday.
