After a less-than-ideal meteorological weekend, high pressure will be in control on Monday bringing mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures with highs in the 70s and 80s. Humidity levels will be comfortable with the dew point in the 30s inland and in the 40s along the shoreline. A frontal system will advance toward the state on Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers. A few thunderstorms are also possible, but severe and widespread storms like this past Tuesday are not expected. Fair skies will return to the area Wednesday.
