Former columnist Doug Larson wrote, “Spring is when you feel like whistling, even with a shoe full of slush.” This winter hasn’t delivered enough snow for us to deal with slush, and now with the National Weather Service spring forecast, it is possible there won’t be much more heading our way. The forecast calls for above normal temperatures across the eastern third of the country with the core of the warmth along the Gulf Coast. Precipitation is expected to be above normal. Unless the pattern changes, I would expect our shoes this spring will be wet, not full of slush.
